Like many people I have been watching what has been going on at NBC with the Tonight show, Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien. I didn’t plan on commenting on any of it mostly because this isn’t a gossip or tv blog, and because I like and enjoy both Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien. However, after watching Conan’s farewell speech on his last Tonight show last night (Jan. 22, 2009) I decided to write this and give my respect to Conan. He did a great job and his farewell speech was both classyand inspirational.  He stepped out of his comedic box for a moment and spoke from the heart. I have included his final speech for anyone who missed it and might want to see it. I have always enjoyed Conan O’Brien but last night I gained a new respect for him. Wherever life takes him and whatever he decides to do in the future, he has gained at least one new fan (me) and I eagerly await to see where he lands. In his speech Conan said “If you work hard and you are kind, amazing things will happen”

I completely agree with those words and just wanted to show my respect to Conan O’Brien on my blog. Amazing things WILL happen. Thank you Conan, and your staff, for bringing us years of entertainment, and I hope you will continue to do so. When and if Conan comes back to the screen, I for one,  will be watching.
